Welcome

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WORLDNET CHAMPIONS 2010 BRADFORD

who beat RC Lens in the Final at Bodington Hall this weekend

Congratulations also to QPR who beat Leicester in the final of the Jonny Bramley Plate and to AFC Halifax Legends who beat Arsenal Nigeria in the Big Tam Vets

Welcome to WorldNET10, the 15th annual tournament organised by the IFA.  As in recent times the event takes place at the University of Leeds' Bodington Hall (postcode LS16 5PT) and features the 60 team IFA Cup and the Jonny Bramley Plate competition alongside the Big Tam Veteran's Bowl event. Friday the 23rd July kicks off with the IFA England Scotland International and then the Final of the IFA Challenge Cup.

Over the weekend our teams will play a series of 15 minute group and knockout stages of 11 a side football on full size pitches.  This continues their activity throughout the season when teams of IFA supporters meet to play (usually) in the morning before their "big" teams thrash it out in the afternoon.

Internet Football brings supporters together in a unique way not mirrored anywhere else within the game, crossing international borders with ease and showing that the football supporting family can get on with each other in spite of all the pressures placed upon them by those charged with running the game at a higher level.

As ever we'd like to pass on our thanks to the staff at Bodington Hall, the Sport Leeds Staff and all the many volunteers who make WorldNET and the IFA what it is. Now check out the video below to see what our chums from Preston North End did at WorldNET08

Here's to 2011!

Internet Football is not about winning it's about building bridges between rival groups of football supporters
